Does anyone know much about the Shemhamphorae? I'm only beginning to look into this partly because I am going to be ordering the Stairs of Gold Tarot by Giorgio Tavaglione. On the suit cards are the seals and names of the Shemhamphorae. I figure it will be best to learn about the Shemhamphorae to be able to interpret the suit cards better. I'm reading some about them online but I'm having a bit of trouble understanding their importance in the Kabbalah and the degrees that go with them. I also do not understand Hebrew, which is partly why I don't understand as well as I could. Maybe I should learn? Also, if you work with the Shemhamphorae, how do you do so?
Here's a pdf file on it. Apparently it's concerned with petitioning the 72 angels which rule the degrees of the zodiac. It actually looks very interesting and, for a grimiore, the supplies are relatively easy to obtain. Be sure and heed the note at the end of the file: Yikes! This is one of the reasons I stay clear of theurgy.
